Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

ELECTRICAL DESIGN CONTRACTOR LLC ("we", "us", or "our") provides DayNest Organizer, an offline personal organization and productivity application.

This Privacy Policy explains how the application accesses, stores, uses and protects information, and how users can manage or delete their data.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Depending on which features you use, DayNest Organizer may store:

• Optional first name and application preferences.
• Personal notes, tasks, priorities and checklists.
• Calendar dates, daily plans and scheduled activities.
• Habits, completion records and progress history.
• Reminders and notification times.
• Personal goals and progress.
• Journal entries and mood selections.
• Favorites and saved content.
• Completed focus sessions and productivity statistics.

This information is stored locally on your device. Account registration is not required.

3. How Information Is Used

Your information is processed locally to provide the application's features, including task management, habit tracking, daily planning, reminders, search, favorites, focus-session history and progress insights.

Your records are stored using an app-private SQLite database and local preferences.

4. Data Collection and Sharing

DayNest Organizer does not require an internet connection for its core functionality.

The current application does not request Android's INTERNET permission.

We do not automatically transmit your organizer content to our servers, sell your personal information, or share organizer data with advertising networks.

The application does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs.

User-initiated backup exports and email communications are described separately below.

5. Permissions and Reminders

DayNest Organizer may use the following Android permissions:

Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

Used to display local reminder notifications when permission is granted.

Receive Boot Completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)

Used to restore scheduled local reminders after the device restarts.

Notification permission is optional. Other organizer features remain available when this permission is denied, although reminder alerts may not appear.

Device battery and notification settings may affect reminder delivery.

6. Backup and Restore

DayNest Organizer allows users to manually export and import JSON backup files through the Android system file picker.

Backups may include organizer entries and completed focus-session history.

When restoring a backup, users can choose to merge imported data with existing records or replace locally stored information.

Exported JSON backup files are not encrypted.

Current-format backups use a SHA-256 checksum to help detect accidental corruption. This checksum does not encrypt the file or authenticate its origin.

If you choose a third-party file provider or cloud storage location, that provider may process and store your backup according to its own privacy policy.

We recommend storing backup files in secure locations.

7. Contact Us and Email Communications

The Contact Us feature opens a separate email application selected by the user.

DayNest Organizer does not automatically send emails.

If you voluntarily contact us, we may receive your email address and the information included in your message.

This information is used to respond to inquiries, provide support and address requests. Your email provider and ours may process these communications according to their own policies.

You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.

8. Data Security

Android's application storage isolation helps protect locally stored application information.

However, no digital storage system can guarantee absolute security.

The application's private database should not be assumed to have additional app-specific encryption. Manually exported JSON backups are unencrypted.

Users should protect their devices and exported backup files with appropriate security measures.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Your organizer information remains stored locally until you:

• Delete individual entries.
• Replace local content through backup restoration.
• Clear the application's storage.
• Uninstall DayNest Organizer.

Clearing application storage or uninstalling the app may permanently remove locally stored information.

Previously exported backup files must be deleted separately from the locations where they were saved.

DayNest Organizer does not provide cloud account registration, and we do not maintain remote copies of your organizer database.

10. Children's Privacy

DayNest Organizer is a general-purpose productivity application and is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.

The application does not include account creation or age-based profiling.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when application features or data-handling practices change.

Revised policies will include an updated effective date and should be made available through the application and its public privacy policy webpage.
